Birri
Fishing Paradise is located on remote Mornington Island in Northern
Australia, approximately 700km from Cairns. Mornington Island is just
60 km long and 20 km wide but is the largest of the Wellesley group
of islands. Surrounded by the pristine waters of the Gulf of Carpentaria,
it's about as close to paradise as you can possibly get. The fishing
is so good you'd swear it was heaven.
Warm
sun filled days. Balmy nights when all you need is the setting sun and
a cool sea breeze for company. The area is protected from commercial
fishing, with the sole exception of prawn trawling and that's the way
things will stay. This is a place where stories are told and legends
are made.
